Voter Compass is an independent, informational demo application. It is not operated, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with any government agency, election authority, political party, or candidate. It does not register anyone to vote, cast or submit any vote, or transmit anything to any official government or election system.

All polling location, ballot, registration, and election-date information displayed in the App is provided for general informational purposes only. It may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, mislabeled, or simply incorrect. Nothing in the App constitutes legal, voting, or official government advice, and the App is not a substitute for information from your official state or local election authority.

You are solely responsible for independently confirming your polling location, voter registration status, ballot contents, and any applicable deadlines directly with your official election authority before taking any action, including before voting.

Portions of the App use artificial intelligence (“AI”) to summarize ballot measures and contests and to answer questions in a chat interface. AI-generated output can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong — including through “hallucination,” where an AI system produces plausible-sounding but false or fabricated content. AI output in the App is not reviewed by a human, is not fact-checked, and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose.

We make no representation or warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness of any AI-generated content, or of any other information provided anywhere in the App. You must not rely on the App, including any AI-generated summary or chat response, as your sole source of information for voting or any other decision. Use of any AI feature of the App is entirely at your own risk.

THE APP, AND ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, AND FUNCTIONALITY AVAILABLE THROUGH IT, ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, VIRUS-FREE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENCY, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT IN THE APP, INCLUDING POLLING LOCATIONS, BALLOT INFORMATION, REGISTRATION DEADLINES, ELECTION DATES, OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL IGNITE SYNERGY, OR ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OPPORTUNITY, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APP (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT), OR ANY DECISION OR ACTION YOU TAKE — INCLUDING RELATED TO VOTING OR ELECTIONS — IN RELIANCE ON THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ASSERTED, INCLUDING CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE.

To the extent any liability is not validly excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from or relating to the App is limited to zero dollars ($0), as the App is provided free of charge.

By using the App, you release and forever discharge Ignite Synergy, and its owners, operators, contributors, and affiliates, from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action of every kind arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, the accuracy or unavailability of any content, or any AI-generated output, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You agree that your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ignite Synergy, and its owners, operators, contributors, and affiliates, from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

The App — including its source code, design, layout, user interface, graphics, text, compilation, and all underlying technology (collectively, the “Materials”) — is the sole and exclusive property of Ignite Synergy and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Except for your own personal, non-commercial viewing of the App through a standard web browser, no part of the Materials may be copied, reproduced, republished, scraped, harvested, data-mined, reverse-engineered, decompiled, disassembled, modified, distributed, publicly displayed, sold, licensed, sublicensed, or otherwise exploited, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, without Ignite Synergy’s prior written consent.

You may not use any automated system — including bots, scrapers, or crawlers — to access the App or to extract its content, design, or underlying code. You may not create a derivative work based on the App, and you may not use the App, or any part of it, to build, train, or improve a competing product or service. Any unauthorized use immediately terminates the limited permission granted to you to access the App and may subject you to liability.

All trademarks, service marks, and trade names used in the App are the property of Ignite Synergy or their respective owners.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that you may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. YOU AND IGNITE SYNERGY EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING OF ANY KIND. Any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App, or discontinue the App entirely, at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice or liability to you.

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Your continued use of the App after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Please check this page periodically.

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Ignite Synergy regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, written or oral, regarding the subject matter here.
